Words from our founder – Divya Pahwa
My conscious journey started not too long ago, when I started questioning myself and why all my food shopping is wrapped in plastic. What purpose did it serve? I remember those childhood days when I used to accompany my mum to farmers markets back when I lived in India, buying loose vegetables and fruits, and bringing them home in a jute bag.
Back then we were using stainless steel dinner plates, cups, lunch boxes, bottles and reusable bags. What happened to our environmentally conscious self? Where did we lose track? Was it all about convenience or were we programmed to think that way?
So, I started on my journey knowing that it’s not going to be easy to make the transition, but I wanted to do my bit to save this planet and leave a liveable place for my children.
Like Albert Einstein once said ‘The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking’.
These words stand very true to me and that’s why ‘I am Ecoist’ was born. I would be thrilled to be a part of your conscious journey and we will get there slowly but surely.
